You're always in control: every tool suggests, you approve. Applying a title or setting a thumbnail requires you to explicitly tap "Apply" on that specific suggestion - nothing changes on your channel automatically.
Bring Your Own AI
Beacon Studio doesn't run its own AI subscription you pay for. Instead, you connect the AI you already use - Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, with your own API key - or use Workers AI, a free option with no signup or account needed at all. You can even connect more than one provider at once and choose which one to use for each task.
We looked seriously at letting creators sign in with their existing ChatGPT or Claude subscription instead of pasting an API key, since that would feel more familiar. It turns out none of the major providers actually support that for third-party apps right now - Anthropic explicitly blocks it, and OpenAI's "Sign in with ChatGPT" doesn't grant API access. A pasted API key, billed directly by the provider to your own account, is the option that's real today.

Shorts Creator and the AI Video Editor need real video-processing infrastructure we're still building; the AI Creator Assistant makes most sense to build last, once it has the other tools to actually orchestrate. Can Beacon Studio publish changes to my channel automatically?
No. It only writes to your channel - updating a video's title or setting a new thumbnail - when you explicitly tap Apply on that specific suggestion. Every other tool only analyzes and suggests.
